what is Blog!!!!!!!!!

blog (a blend of the term web log) is a type of website or part of a website. Blogs are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. Blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Most blogs are interactive, allowing visitors to leave comments and even message each other via widgets on the blogs and it is this interactivity that distinguishes them from other static websites.
Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability of readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (art blog), photographs (photoblog), videos (video blogging or vlogging), music (MP3 blog), and audio (podcasting).Microblogging is another type of blogging, featuring very short posts.
As of 16 February 2011 there were over 156 million public blogs in existence.

Everybody blog!

The other alternative is to set up either blogs for small groups of people or individual blogs. In my experience, working with group blogs carries with it many of the logistical difficulties of working with groups in a large class, with the additional difficulty of managing the blogs. For that reason, even in very large classes, I usually have students set up blogs individually.
The same sorts of questions apply when choosing a blogging platform for large classes as do when looking at small classes. The grouping functions of Livejournal can be helpful, although for especially large classes they may not scale well. Other free blog hosts: Blogger, Wordpress, Edublogs, among others, are all good choices. I have tried mixed-blog classes, requiring only that students use a blogging system that provides RSS feeds, but in terms of support for new users this can become difficult.
It is helpful to aggregate blogs for small classes, and vital for large classes. Unfortunately, there is not a single, easily used solution for creating an aggregator for a large class. It is a good idea to plan for some time to collect the urls of students blogs, along with their true names. I have done this over email, set up a special web form to collect the data, and even integrated this with a Lylina aggregator that was altered to allow anyone to add their information. There are some early tools that can help with this, but generally it may be easier, if time consuming, to collect these via email or on paper and enter them manually into an aggregator (and your grade book).
The biggest barrier to large-scale blogging? Every blogging class has a small contingent of students who have a great deal of difficulty understanding how to blog, and of course this group grows proportionately with the size of the class. There are several strategies that can be used to mitigate this. First, choose a single platform, and one that already has helpful resources and tutorials you can provide to students. A quick search will turn up tutorials for a number of platforms. Second, seek out your most experienced bloggers in the class who are willing to help the neophytes. The culture of blogging often attracts those who are willing to help others get a handle on things. Finally, plan for this hurdle. Once cleared, students are usually off and running, but instructors often overestimate students' exposure to blogging and facility with computing generally.

Me

My name is Muhamad Nadmin Binberaheng.

I am a student in Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat university, faculity of education in english program.
I am 21 years old. My student's ID number 5211114052. I like English class too much.

Why do we have to use blog in ELT?

People write blogs as a way to express themselves and their knowledge or expertise. People read blogs as a source of information or because they find the writer interesting. Blogs are extremely useful, both to the writer and the reader. The writer may have a lot of knowledge to share, and the reader may want an informal way to learn about a topic. Some people use blogs to find other people with similar problems, issues or situations. Blogs can be anonymous, which helps a lot of people share information without being known. Some people like to state their feelings. Kind of like your message board in WikiAnswers or talk page in Wikipedia. Same thing really.

Personally I enjoy writing and write about topics that I am interested in and that I like to write about. (I even have a blog about 'writing') Also once in a while write about products that I like, or that I am interested in 'Pre-Selling' those (Affilliate) Products, with almost all products that I (pre)sell on my blog I usually genuinely think it's about products that I believe are great products or that I have or enjoy myself. Products that It is also possible to receive comments about experiences from other people.

I write about several other subjects that have myinterest such as Travel (and as mentioned before) the process of writing itself, Movies, Music and a few other areas of interest for several of those areas I have (one or more)different 'Blogspots'.

Describe the following terms

Asynchronous Tools

Asynchronous tools enable communication and collaboration over a period of time through a "different time-different place" mode. These tools allow people to connect together at each person's own convenience and own schedule. Asynchronous tools are useful for sustaining dialogue and collaboration over a period of time and providing people with resources and information that are instantly accessible, day or night. Asynchronous tools possess the advantage of being able to involve people from multiple time zones. In addition, asynchronous tools are helpful in capturing the history of the interactions of a group, allowing for collective knowledge to be more easily shared and distributed. The primary drawback of asynchronous technologies is that they require some discipline to use when used for ongoing communities of practice (e.g., people typically must take the initiative to "login" to participate) and they may feel "impersonal" to those who prefer higher-touch synchronous technologies.

ToolUseful forDrawbacks
Discussion boardsDialogue that takes place over a period of timeMay take longer to arrive at decisions or conclusions
Web logs (Blogs)Sharing ideas and commentsMay take longer to arrive at decisions or conclusions
Messaging (e-mail)One-to-one or one-to-many communicationsMay be misused as a "collaboration tool" and become overwhelming
Streaming audioCommunicating or teachingStatic and typically does not provide option to answer questions or expand on ideas
Streaming videoCommunicating or teachingStatic and typically does not provide option to answer questions or expand on ideas
Narrated slideshowsCommunicating or teachingStatic and typically does not provide option to answer questions or expand on ideas
"Learning objects"
(Web-based training)
Teaching and trainingTypically does not provide option to answer questions or expand on ideas in detail
Document librariesManaging resourcesVersion control can be an issue unless check-in / check-out functionality is enabled
DatabasesManaging information and knowledgeRequires clear definition and skillful administration
Web booksTeaching and trainingNot dynamic and may lose interest of users
Surveys and pollsCapturing information and trendsRequires clear definition and ongoing coordination
Shared CalendarsCoordinating activitiesSystem compatibility
Web site linksProviding resources and referencesMay become outdated and "broken"

A significant step beyond this smorgasbord of individual tools are web-based platforms that aim to provide some or most of the functionality of these standalone tools, but do so within a single integrated collaborative environment. The integration and synthesis of these tools creates a container that turns out to be far greater than the sum of its parts and can become the single portal for all community activities. Going beyond the hodgepodge of individual technologies can elevate members' experiences by encouraging collaborative learning and knowledge sharing.

Synchronous Tools

Synchronous tool enables real-time communication and collaboration in a "same time-different place" mode. these tools allow people to connectat a single point in time, at the same time. Synchronous tools possess the advantage of being able to engage people instantly and at the same point in time. The primary drawback of synchronous tools is that, by definition, they require same-time participation-different time zones and comflicting schedules can create communication challenges. In addition, they tend to be costly and may reqsuire significant bandwidth to be efficient.

ToolUseful forDrawbacks
Audio conferencingDiscussions and dialogueCost, especially when international participation is involved
Web conferencingSharing presentations and informationCost, bandwidth; may also require audio conferencing to be useful
Video conferencingIn-depth discussions with higher-touch interactionsCost, limited availability of video conferencing systems
ChatInformation sharing of low-complexity issuesUsually requires typing, "lower touch" experience
Instant messagingAd hoc quick communicationsAll users must use compatible system, usually best for 1:1 interactions
White boardingCo-development of ideasCost, bandwidth; may also require audio conferencing to be useful
Application sharingCo-development of documentsCost, bandwidth; may also require audio conferencing to be useful

How to improve the spoken English skills?

How to improve the spoken English skills?

* Speak in English: The best way to improve the spoken English skill is to talk in English with others. This will enhance your English language skills. When you can talk easily with another person in English, then you know that you are well conversant in the language.

* Watch English films: Another better way to learn the language is to see a lot of English movies. When you see the characters speaking in front of you then you tend to learn the language better. The characters speak with different moods and therefore people who listen intently can learn the language better.

Language as a medium of communication:

Language is just a tool and it is a medium of communication. Human beings have from time immemorial learnt the ways for emotional expressions and language is the best means of that expression. Language is the best means of self expression which is bestowed only on the human beings and not on any other beings on the earth. Therefore people can express their thoughts and dreams through self expression by means of language.

When you need to express yourself in any particular language you need to know that language very well. If you want to express yourself in English then you can do that only by learning the language very well. You can use the language as you wish; you can express your love, you can express anxiety and also express your anger. The better you are skilled in the language the best you convey your emotions.
